Penza hosts a round table discussion between the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the heads and students of higher educational institutions of Penza

As part of the official visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a roundtable meeting was held with the heads and students of higher education institutions in Penza at Penza College of Architecture and Construction.

Currently, 33 students from Uzbekistan are studying at universities in the Penza region, 13 of whom are getting higher education at Penza State University. The visit of the official delegation from the Republic underscores the mutual interest in cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in education and science.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including Bekhzot Atajanov, Head of the Department of Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship, Employer Needs Study, and Order Formation at the Department for Poverty Reduction and Employment; Bunyod Igamberdiev, Head of the Research Department at Fergana State Technical University; and Ilkham Khakimov, Head of the Department at Kokand Polytechnic No.1. The host team included Mikhail Denisov, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Penza Region; Aleksei Agafonkin, Head of the Department of Educational Policy for Vocational Education at the Ministry of Education of the Penza Region; and relevant vice-rectors and deans of international services at Penza's higher education institutions.

During the meeting, Bunyod Igamberdiev presented the activities of Fergana State University and invited colleagues from other universities to visit the university's new campus and participate in international events. He noted that the perseverance, hard work, and determination of students from Uzbekistan are the key to their successful studies and future professional careers.

Mikhail Denisov noted that the knowledge and skills acquired by students in Russia will enable them to return home and become highly qualified professionals in various fields, such as engineering, economics, information technology, medicine, and other fields, which will have a positive impact on the development of Uzbekistan.

During the business discussions, the universities outlined development prospects, including joint areas of research and educational activities.

The moderator of the meeting, Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at PSU, emphasized the importance of international students' socialization. He emphasized that the university is actively working to create a comfortable environment for international students, providing them not only with a high-quality education but also with opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. This includes various clubs and cultural events that help students adapt to their new environment and make new friends.
