PSU hosts a series of online lectures “Indian and Russian Knowledge System”19.11.2025 09:35
At the opening, the participants of the event were greeted by Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice-Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University. He highlighted the importance of holding joint events between universities to exchange experience, foster fruitful collaboration, and strengthen scientific and academic ties. Sergei Vasin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at PSU, noted in his greeting the need to organize joint projects. They contribute to the development of international scientific collaboration between Russian and Indian students, which allows strengthening the scientific potential of young people. Dr. Prabhat Dwivedi, Head of the International Relations Department of the Indian partner university, and Tatiana Razuvaeva, Head of the International Projects Department of the Institute of International Cooperation, PSU, presented the programme of the online lecture series to the audience and noted that the event was being held for the third time. On the first day, November 13, PSU students and staff got acquainted with the reports of Indian scientists. Dr. Alok Pandey, Chairperson of the Department of Mathematics at the College of Southern Nevada, introduced the audience to aspects of ancient Indian mathematics through the lens of the ancient mathematical treatise, Lilavati. Dr. Yogesh Puri, Senior Fcaulty of the Department of Management Studies at Harcourt Butler Technological University, introduced students to key aspects of maintaining a positive learning environment within an Indian educational institution. Dr. Markanday Ahuja, Eye Surgeon and President of the Haryana Ophthalmological Society, discussed the Bhagavad Gita, a monument to ancient Indian religious and philosophical thought, as a tool for promoting psychological well-being. On the second day, November 14, researchers from Penza State University presented the results of their research. Svetlana Vlazneva, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology, Economic Theory, and International Processes, explained the foundations of strategic economic development between Russia and India. Olga Pavlova, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, discussed the characteristics of the multicultural novel with Indian and Russian participants. Andrey Kuzmin, Head of the Department of Information and Computation Systems, and Nikola Petrovic, Researcher at the Metacognis Institute and Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad, discussed the experience and prospects of using information technology in medicine. Additionally, Lana Lazareva, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, presented a paper on educational psychology. Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, noted that holding events in this format with partner universities from India contributes to strengthening cooperation in the Russian-Indian academic community, as students from Indian and Russian universities have the opportunity to ask scholars questions and discuss current aspects of scientific research in the fields of philosophy, culture, pedagogy, philology, and medicine.
