DESCRIPTION
The purpose (mission) of the programme coincides with the mission of PSU and consists in the formation and development of human capital, innovative and entrepreneurial potentials based on modern achievements in the educational, scientific, socio-cultural and industrial spheres to ensure the modernization of the economy, innovative and cultural development of the Penza region and other regions of Russia.
AIMS
research activity:
• creating new mathematical models for solving tasks in the field of economics and engineering and studying them;
• applying, developing and improving appropriate mathematical apparatus for implementing mathematical models.
production and technology activity:
• justifying mathematical methods for solving tasks of production and technological activities;
• building, applying, researching, and comparing mathematical models corresponding to the tasks of production and technological activities;
• building mathematical models for analysing and forecasting economic, technological, and physical processes;
• developing and applying mathematical models of numerical methods and software complexes.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• develop knowledge-intensive software for automating systems and processes, as well as to develop information and communication technologies;
• study existing and create new mathematical models in economics and engineering, applying relevant mathematical apparatus;
• conduct research in the field of mathematical simulation in economics and engineering independently or as part of a research team;
• profoundly analyse problems of technological activities related to solving task of mathematical simulation in economics and engineering;
• apply methods of mathematical simulation for solving tasks of technological activities in the field f economics and engineering.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of this Master's degree program can work in the fields of communications and information technology, including the design, creation and support of information and communication systems, as well as in industry, engaged in research and development.
