DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the programme is the formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies in graduates, allowing the application of modern information technologies in information systems at the stages from design to operation, generalising students' theoretical knowledge on specific examples of systems and services environments, as well as forming special knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of managing modern systems and creating software.
AIMS
research activity:
• developing new fields and methods of applying automated systems in information systems and networks;
• building, analysing, and implementing new computer models in modern natural sciences, engineering, economics, and management;
production and technological activity:
• developing, debugging, testing, and modifying software;
• developing and supporting a software architecture.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• manage the development of information system software;
• apply modern information technologies when designing and implementing software, assessing its quality and efficiency, in order to solve tasks in various subject fields;
• install, set up, and administer an information and communication system component;
• conduct research related to information systems development.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates who have completed the program are able to carry out professional activities in IT companies, in research institutions related to the development and application of information technology, in IT departments of other institutions and organisations.
