DESCRIPTION

The mission of the programme is to provide training for qualified competitive specialists in the field of research and production and technological activities based on advanced information technologies. The purpose of the program is to form students' universal, general professional competencies and professional competencies, and to develop students' professional and personal qualities.

AIMS

production and technological activity:
•    building applied informatics systems using modern network information technologies, multimedia and computer animation technologies;
•    organising works in building and operating applied informatics systems in design and assessing the quality of their implementation;
•    managing the quality of applied informatics systems in design;
•    setting and solving applied tasks in design;
•    designing applied informatics processes in design using modern methods and technologies;
•    developing requirements for applied informatics systems and information service components in design;
•    integrating components and services when creating applied informatics systems in design;
•    adapting information service tools to technical specifications;
•    ensuring quality and information security for applied informatics systems in design;
•    organising and operating applied informatics systems in design;
•    analysing and choosing tools for information services to solve applied design tasks;
•    testing applied informatics integrated systems in design;
•    developing ergonomic design for applied informatics systems in design.

research activity:

•    studying modern problems and methods of applied informatics in the field of designing applied informatics systems in design;
•    studying applied processes in computer design using modern software and methodological tools;
•    studying scientific methods for geometric modelling and graphic technologies in computer design;
•    analysing and choosing technologies in computer design;
•    analysing and choosing tools for designing and managing applied informatics in design;
•    analysing and generalising research results using modern scientific and engineering achievements;
•    studying prospective areas of applied informatics;
•    preparing publications on research topics.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    apply advanced methods for assessing the quality and ensuring information security for applied informatics systems in design;
•    apply information services of applied informatics in design;
•    integrate components and services when building applied informatics systems in design;
•    apply and improve scientific research methods and tools in computer design.
