DESCRIPTION

The mission of this programme is to provide a high level of training of bachelors in the field of design and technological preparation of machine-building enterprises in accordance with the existing and projected needs of enterprises and organisations of Russia, the region, and the city. The purpose of this Master's degree programme is to develop personal qualities in students, to form universal, general professional and professional competences in the field of research aimed at the creation and application of modern production processes, machine-building technologies and means of their implementation, aimed at the creation of competitive machine-building products and improvement of the national technological environment.

AIMS

production and technological activity:
•    conducting individual testing of technological equipment of high and particularly high complexity for mechanical assembly production;
•    conducting complex testing of technological equipment of high and particularly high complexity for mechanical assembly production.

design activity:
•    developing the structure of flexible production systems in machine building;
•    drawing up technical specifications for the design of the elements of flexible production systems in machine building;
•    developing a draft project of the elements of production systems in machine building, taking into account technological, design, operational, and aesthetic parameters; developing generalised solutions for project goals; analysing and selecting optimal solutions and forecasting their consequences.

maintenance activity:
•     implementing methodical support for the start-up, commissioning, and operation of equipment of high and particularly high complexity for mechanical assembly production.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct commissioning and complex testing of equipment of high and particularly high complexity for mechanical assembly production;
•    develop the structures of flexible production systems according to set criteria, goal functions, and restrictions;
•    draw up technical specifications for designing the elements of flexible production systems in machine building;
•    develop a draft project of the elements of production systems in machine building, taking into account technological, design, operational, and aesthetic parameters; develop generalised solutions for project goals; analyse and select optimal solutions and forecasting their consequences;
•    implement methodical support for the start-up, commissioning, and operation of equipment of high and particularly high complexity for mechanical assembly production.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The places of professional activity of the graduate are: enterprises of mechanical engineering, instrument engineering, repair organisations of machine-building profile and various design organisations in the field of mechanical engineering.
