DESCRIPTION

The mission of the programme is to develop universal, general professional and professional competencies for the bachelor of teacher education, consistent with the requirements of professional standards, which allows them to function successfully in the modern labour market as a teacher of mathematics, a teacher of supplementary education, a teacher of vocational training, vocational education and life-long vocational education. As a result of the training, in accordance with the requirements of the employer, the bachelor must possess fundamental knowledge in the field of mathematical science and special mathematical disciplines, meet modern requirements imposed by professional standards for the activities of teachers in the design and implementation of the educational process.

AIMS

training activity:
•    studying students’ abilities, needs, and achievement in the field of education;
•    conducting training and education in accordance with the requirements of educational standards;
•    applying technologies appropriate to the age characteristics of students and reflecting the specifics of the subject area;
•    participate in the development of basic and supplementary educational programmes, develop their separate elements, including with the use of information and communications technology;
•    organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs, in accordance with the requirements of federal state educational standards;
•    organising interaction with organisations of general education and other educational organisations, children’s groups and parents, participating in the self-management and management of school groups for solving professional activity tasks;
•    shaping an educational environment for ensuring the quality of education, including with the use of information technology;
•    designing and implementing training activities based on specialised knowledge of mathematics.

design activity:
•    designing the content of educational programmes and modern training technologies, taking into account the peculiarities of the educational process, the objectives of education, and personal development through teaching mathematics;
•    designing individual routes of training, educating and developing students;
•    designing and conducting classes for students with special educational needs;
•    designing an educational environment for school mathematics, taking into account research and educational characteristics of the region.

methodological activity:
•    implementing programmes of mathematical education;
•    creating conditions fostering interest in studying mathematics by engaging them in various activities (individual, group, research, project, communication, etc.).
•    selecting subject content of mathematical education for school students corresponding to expected outcomes, the level of development of modern mathematics, and students’ age characteristics;
•    ensuring methodological support for achieving individual, subject, and meta-subject learning outcomes based on students’ individual characteristics;
•    solving research tasks in the field of mathematics and education.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct professional activities in accordance with professional ethics and regulatory legal acts in the field of education;
•    participate in the development of basic and supplementary educational programmes, develop their separate elements, including with the use of information and communications technology;
•    organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs, in accordance with the requirements of federal state educational standards;
•    implement moral education for students based on basic national values;
•    implement control and assessment of students’ educational outcomes, identify and correct learning difficulties;
•    apply psychological and training technologies in professional activities necessary for individualisation of learning, development and education, including for those with special educational needs;
•    interact with the participants of educational relationships within the implementation of educational programmes;
•    implement training activities based on specialised scientific knowledge;
•    comprehend the operational principles of modern information technology and apply them for solving professional activity tasks;
•    implement educational programmes at various levels in accordance with modern methods and technologies, including information technology, in order to ensure the quality of the educational process;
•    implement pedagogical support for students during the achievement of meta-subject, subject, and personal outcomes;
•    design the subject environment of educational programmes and their elements;
•    design individual educational routes for students in taught educational subjects;
•    apply subject knowledge when implementing the educational process;
•    organise students’ activities aimed at developing interest in the educational subject as part of class and extracurricular activities;
•    apply theoretical and practical knowledge for setting and solving research objectives in the subject area and education field.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The graduate is able to carry out pedagogical activities in the design and implementation of the educational process in educational institutions of basic general and secondary general education.
