DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the programme is to provide in-depth fundamental and professional training for specialists in the field of chemical education who possess modern knowledge and technologies necessary for research, teaching and management activities in educational institutions of various levels and specialised orientations. The programme is focused on revealing the specifics of chemistry as a scientific knowledge and a modern educational discipline, on mastering the methods of scientific research in the field of chemistry and chemical education. It provides training for specialists who are proficient in modern computer learning technologies, who are able to design and implement educational programmes in chemistry in various types of educational institutions, as well as in specialised training.

AIMS

•    designing educational programmes;

•    organising the process of learning and education using innovative technologies.

•    conducting research activities to solve the tasks of chemical education.

organisation and management activity:
•    studying the condition and potential of a controlled system and its macro- and microenvironment, implementing and improving the management process.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct and optimise professional activities in accordance with professional ethics and regulatory legal acts in the field of education;
•    design basic and supplementary educational programmes and elaborate scientific and methodological support for their implementation;
•    organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs;
•    create and implement conditions and principles for the implementation of moral education for students based on basic national values;
•    develop programmes for monitoring students’ educational results, as well as to develop and implement programmes for overcoming difficulties in education;
•    design and apply efficient psychological, pedagogical and inclusive technologies for professional activities necessary to individualise training, education and development of students, including those with special educational needs;
•    plan and organise interactions between participants in the educational process;
•    design training activities based on special scientific knowledge and research results;
•    design educational programmes of various levels in accordance with modern methods and technologies, including information technology, to ensure the quality of the educational process;
•    design a developing educational environment to achieve personal, subject, and meta-subject learning outcomes;
•    design innovative components of educational programmes;
•    conduct research in the subject field of scientific knowledge, develop innovative mechanisms a d tools for solving research tasks;
•    analysing and developing science-based means, methods, and technologies of training and electronic resources of the digital educational environment;
•    assess the potential and improve professional activities using innovative forms of technological and organisational management that correspond to the general and specific development patterns of a controlled system.

The graduate is able to carry out professional activities in the design and implementation of the educational process in institutions of basic general, secondary general, secondary vocational, and higher education in the field of chemistry.
