DESCRIPTION

The mission of the programme is to ensure the training of specialists for successful professional activity in the field of ensuring the economic security of business entities on the basis of a competence-based approach. In the field of student education, the main goal is to create conditions for the student's personal and professional development, contributing to their effective adaptation to the sociocultural environment of the Russian and international communities: the development and formation of the student's personality - a future specialist combining high education, deep professional knowledge, skills, possessing a humanistic worldview, a stable system of moral and civil values.

AIMS

calculating and economic activity:
•    calculating activity indicators affecting economic security of business entities and implementing economic planning activities of business entities.

information analysis activity:
•    analysing and assessing information necessary for ensuring economic security of business entities, as well as detecting economic risks and threats.

organisation and management activity:
•    managing the internal audit, assessing its efficiency and making management decisions based on economic efficiency criteria for resources.

control activity:
•    conducting internal control and taking measures to eliminate detected deviations.

research activity:
•    solving research tasks and organising research in the field of economic security of business entities.

law enforcement activity:
•    ensure conditions for legitimacy and economic security of business entities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    calculate indicators of business activities, interpret their content and meaning, determine their influence on economic security, and justify conditions, causes and factors of their change;
•    develop measures to improve the efficiency of business resource management;
•    draw up economic units in plans and assess project cost-effectiveness;
•    search, collect, and process information using modern software and analyse data necessary to ensure information and economic security for business entities;
•    monitor socioeconomic processes, assess risk factors to forecast external economic security threats to business entities;
•    analyse current economic and financial state of business entities to assess the resource potential reliability, stability and sustainability of their operations, as well as identify and assess risks to forecast economic security threats and develop measures to prevent, localise and eliminate them;
•    use regulatory documents to prepare an internal audit programme;
•    apply methods for organising and planning audits of business operations;
•    assess the internal audit system of a business entity to elaborate proposals for its improvement and management decisions, taking into account resource cost-effectiveness;
•    use regulatory budgetary, tax and currency relations in professional activities in the field of economic activities, accounting and control, as well as legislative adjustment trends;
•    analyse control results, study the causes and consequences of detected deviations, violations and deficiencies, develop recommendations to eliminate them;
•    assess the effectiveness of the internal control system and develop recommendations to improve it;
•    analyse research information, Russian and world experience in ensuring economic security;
•    study conditions for the operation of economic systems and entities, formulate a problem, justify the relevance and practical significance of developed measures to ensure business entity economic security, and assess their effectiveness;
•    apply research methods, analyse and process research results, summarise the research and draw conclusions on the topic;
•    detect violations of the requirements of legislation and economic regulatory acts and identify causes of violation;
•    ensure legitimacy and economic security for business activities;
•    develop measures to prevent economic offences.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The acquired qualification allows the graduate of the educational program to carry out all types of economic activities, to work in the positions of chief internal audit expert, deputy head, head, deputy head, head of the internal audit service, as well as deputy head of the economic entity for internal control, Director of internal Control of the economic entity, chief internal controller of the economic entity. Graduates of the educational program meet the qualification requirements for holding the following positions: head of financial, economic and administrative divisions (services), head of the department (financial, economic and administrative) of various business entities.
