DESCRIPTION

The programme's mission is to train professionals in the field of personnel management, which allows graduates not only to provide strategic personnel management in a rapidly changing external environment, but also to generate new ways and tools to solve problems based on their own scientific hypotheses and build a successful career in business organisations and government agencies in industry, trade, and transport, as well as in banking, insurance, tourism and other fields of activity.

AIMS

information analysis activity:
•    analysing the effectiveness of the current personnel management system in an organisation;
•    searching, analysing and evaluating information for preparing and making personnel management decisions;
•    conducting personnel auditing and controlling and the personnel management system in an organisation;

organisation and management activity:
•    designing the organisation, formation and development of a personnel management system including its organisational structure;
•    managing a personnel service (units and staff teams implanting specialised functions of personnel management);
•    developing and applying modern social technologies to work with personnel;
•    developing and implementing plans for the social development of an organisation;
•    developing and implementing corporate culture for an organisation; 
•    managing internal communications and team building processes in an organisation;
•    ensuring document management for an operational and strategic personnel management system.

project activity:

•    developing and economically justifying projects for improving the personnel management system and technologies.

research activity:
•    identifying and formulating current scientific problems in personnel management;
•    developing research programmes in personnel management and organising their execution;
•    developing research methods and tools in a personnel management system and analysing their results;
•    searching, collecting, processing analysing and systemising information on research topics; 
•    preparing reviews, reports and scientific publications on current problems in personnel management.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    assess the economic and social efficiency of activities in operational and strategic personnel management within organisations;
•    build an organisational structure and form a personnel management system that complies with the strategic aims and tasks of the organisation’s development;
•    design and implement strategic personnel management and the operation of a structural unit in an organisation;
•    develop and implement corporate culture and social policy in an organisation;
•    manage internal communications and team-building processes in an organisation;
•    ensure document management for an operational and strategic personnel management system;
•    develop and economically justify projects to improve the personnel management system and technologies;
•    develop research programmes in personnel management and organise their execution.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Upon completion of the programme graduates will have excellent prospects for career advancement and will be eligible for leadership positions within functional departments of HR or personnel management services. They may work in managerial roles in both public and private organisations and conduct labour market analysis for the public employment service and other institutions.
