DESCRIPTION

The mission of the programme is to ensure, on the basis of a competence approach, the training of harmoniously developed specialists for successful professional activity in positions of state and municipal service, legislative, executive and judicial authorities, and the national economy, in the interests of ensuring the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, society and the state, as well as for successful professional career growth.

AIMS

law enforcement activity:
•    within office duties, justifying and making decisions in the field of public authority, including courts and prosecutor’s offices, as well as implementing regulatory acts in this field;
•    drafting legal documents.

advisory activity:
•    advising citizens, organisations and public authorities on the law in the activities of public authorities, including courts and prosecutor’s offices;
•    providing legal aid for citizens, public authorities, organisations and institutions on the law in the activities of public authorities, including courts and prosecutor’s offices.

research activity:
•    conducting research on the law in accordance with professional activities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    analyse unconventional situations in law enforcement and propose optimal solutions;
•    individually prepare expert legal opinions and examine regulatory (individual) legal acts;
•    interpret legal acts, including in cases of legal gaps and collisions;
•    justify the legal position on a case in written or oral form, including during adversarial proceedings;
•    individually draft legal documents and design regulatory (individual) legal acts;
•    perform actions to implement legal rules in public authorities;
•    provide legal aid and advise on public law.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates are able to carry out professional activities in public authorities, local government bodies, state and municipal institutions, judicial bodies and prosecutor's offices and the legal profession, administrative bodies and notaries, commercial and non-profit organizations that support the activities of public authorities.
