DESCRIPTION
Rapidly developing communication technologies have profoundly transformed both society and the individual. In this context, the system of mass media and mass communication has become a key factor in the development of various sectors of the economy and society as a whole. Public relations today play an essential managerial role within organisations, influencing agenda-setting and the shaping of public opinion. Advertising is assuming an increasingly important role within the system of integrated marketing communications, without which the modern market cannot function. On the one hand, it serves practical economic purposes; on the other, it reflects mass culture and bears witness to its time. Advertising and public relations, as means of transmitting cultural information, play a projective role in enabling individuals and society to internalise cultural values within the process of cultural exchange.
