DESCRIPTION

The programme aims to develop universal, general professional competencies and professional competencies based on professional standards relevant to the graduate's professional activities. Additionally, it aims to foster students' knowledge and skills in applying methods for developing information systems for industry sectors, government and local authorities, and business. An additional objective is the development of students' capabilities through engagement in scientific research.

AIMS

research activity:
•    developing and studying object models, methods for analysis, synthesis, optimisation, and forecasting of the quality of operational processes, as well as preparing and compiling reviews, reports, and scientific publications.

design activity:
•    planning design works and monitoring project execution; 
•    handing over the project and considering the opinions and remarks of the customer; 
•    conducting analytical and research work;
•    developing software requirements, monitoring the quality and consistency of the work.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct scientific and applied research in the field of information technology using formal and heuristic methods;
•    implement database development management;
•    design complex user interfaces;
•    administer system software and database management systems within an information and communication system of an organisation;
•    develop software;
•    manage work in designing and supporting information systems that automate tasks of organisational management and business processes.

Graduates who have completed the programme can pursue professional careers in the field of Communications, Information, and Communication Technologies, particularly in research, development, and implementation of information technologies and systems.
