DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the programme is the formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies in graduates, allowing the application of modern information technologies in information systems at the stages from design to operation, generalising students' theoretical knowledge on specific examples of systems and services environments, as well as forming special knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of managing modern systems and creating software.
AIMS
production and technological activity:
• developing, debugging, testing, and modifying software;
• creating and maintaining software architecture.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• use the main methods and tools for design automation, realisation, testing, and quality assessment when creating competitive software products and complexes;
• use knowledge in the development directions of computers with conventional and non-conventional architectures, modern system software, operating systems, and operating and network shells and participate in information system administration;
• use the main conceptual provisions of functional, logical, object-oriented, and visual directions in programming, as well as methods, means and tools for developing software within these directions;
• use modern methods of developing and implementing specific mathematical model algorithms based on programming languages and modelling software packages;
• apply modern information technologies during the development, realisation, quality assessment and analysis of information system software efficiency for solving tasks in various disciplines.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
A graduate who has successfully mastered the programme is able to carry out professional activities as a programming engineer, specialist in information systems, testing and creation of technical documentation in the field of information technology; system analyst, system administrator of information and communication systems and database administrator, developer of Web and multimedia applications.
