DESCRIPTION
The mission of the programme is to prepare a highly qualified and competitive graduate in the area of production and technological activities related to mathematic, programming, and computer technologies, who is ready for creative self-realisation. The aims of the programme are as follows: to prepare a graduate that is able to solve problems in the field of mathematical modelling, software development, artificial intelligence systems, and data analysis; to form a corporate culture that stimulates innovation activities and growth of creativity, as well as the personal and creative self-realisation of students.
AIMS
• designing architecture and algorithm and programme solutions for system and applied software;
• researching, developing and implementing mathematical models using programming languages and computer equipment;
• developing information systems and databases;
• developing algorithms and elements for systems of artificial intelligence and data analysis.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• apply fundamental knowledge obtained in the field of mathematical and (or) natural sciences in professional activities;
• use and adapt existing mathematical methods and programming systems for developing and implementing solution algorithms;
• apply and adjust mathematical models for professional activity solutions;
• comprehend the principles of operation of modern information and communication technologies and apply them to professional activity solutions;
• develop algorithms and computer programmes for professional activities;
• analyse requirements and develop variants of data processing system realisation;
• build and research mathematical models in the natural sciences, industry and business, considering the potentials of modern information technologies, programming languages, and computer equipment;
• apply modern programming languages, methods of parallel data processing, operating systems, e-libraries, software packages, and network technologies in professional activities.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
A graduate who has successfully mastered the programme is able to carry out professional activities in the fields of designing, developing, and testing software, designing, building, and maintaining information and communication systems and databases, creating informational resources in the Internet.
