Pre-University Training
The main objective of the Pre-University Training Office is to help foreign applicants adapt to the Russian education system and prepare for admission to universities.
Key functions:

Study of the Russian language - intensive training to achieve the level necessary to understand lectures and communicate in an academic environment.

Mastering major subjects (maths, physics, chemistry, etc.) in Russian to pass entrance exams.

Academic and cultural adaptation - learning about the norms of studying in Russia, university rules and life in the country.
After completing the programme, graduates can apply to Russian universities on a general basis.
Study
The Pre-University Training Office for foreign citizens offers the programme ‘Preparing for university entrance’. Here students study the Russian language and general education subjects in Russian, which helps them to adapt to studying in this country.
The programme is aimed at those who plan to enter Russian universities. Students not only improve their language skills, but also gain knowledge in major disciplines such as maths, physics, chemistry, biology or humanities, depending on the chosen field of study.
After successful completion of the Pre-University Training, foreign citizens can continue their studies at Russian universities on an equal footing with Russian applicants.
The study period is one academic year (8-10 calendar months).
The tuition fee for the 2025/2026 academic year for the additional general education programme ‘Preparing for university entrance’ is 135,000 roubles.
Students who have successfully completed the training and successfully passed the final examination receive a certificate of the established sample.
Students who have not passed the final examination or who have mastered a part of the additional general education programme, receive a reference of the established sample.
Extracurricular activities
In addition to academic training, the Pre-University Training Office actively develops extracurricular activities to help international students adapt to life in Russia, make new friends and spend an interesting time.
The Pre-University Training Office organises excursions around the city, visits to museums, theatres and historical places, workshops on traditional Russian games and activities and creative competitions in Russian. In addition, interntaional students actively participate in all events held at the university.

In order to apply you need to send the following documents via e-mail to barysheva-nv@pnzgu.ru:

In the letter it is necessary to specify:

current level of education (school, college, bachelor's degree, master's degree, etc.

Access to the Electronic Educational Resource ‘Russian as a Foreign Language’ is now available
Each student and teacher of our educational institution has an opportunity to work in full-text mode with licensed literature on the Electronic Educational Resource ‘Russian as a Foreign Language’ free of charge. Access to the full text of publications is possible after authorisation, for this purpose it is necessary to receive login and password from the teacher or from the Head of Pre-University Training Office. After receiving the password, it is required to undergo personal registration and further work under your own credentials.
