A festival of Hindu culture which is celebrated twice a year – in spring and in autumn – over nine days. |
Battle of Minds Annual Interactive Intellectual Game |
Four-stage interactive game which includes general knowledge questions and introduces cinema, music, world records sphere. The game develops teamwork skills, broadens horizons and contributes to cooperation between the regional universities. |
Freshman Interfaculty Youth Talent Contest |
A university event which aims at developing first year students’ creative potential, team building and meeting university creative teams. |

International Scientific and Practical Conference of International Students ‘Cross-Cultural Communication in the Modern World’ |
Annual international scientific and practical conference of international students comprises 5 sections on topical issues of modern sciences. The official languages of the conference are Russian, English and German. |
Day of Arab Culture, as part of the Around the World in Two Semesters Cultural Marathon |
Creative and official events aimed at introducing Arab culture, integrating Russian and Arab students and research community, expanding the circle of PSU partners from the Arab countries. |

Winter Futsal Championship among international students |
The winter futsal championship helps to promote a healthy lifestyle and sport, which is an important factor in the socialisation of foreign students and influences educational success, the formation of behavioural norms, and the strengthening of interpersonal and international relations between citizens of different countries. |
AIS Factor Creativity Festival |
The festival aims at identifying gifted and talented youth among foreign citizens who attend the preparatory courses. |

Chinese New Year, as part of the Around the World in Two Semesters Cultural Marathon |
The programme of the event is saturated, so that the guests can explore Chinese culture and traditions. Chinese students perform their national songs and poems, they wear traditional Chinese costumes, organise quizzes and national tea ceremonies. |

Kurash Individual Championship in Belt Wrestling |
Kurash refers to several folk wrestling styles practiced in Central Asia. The tournament is timed for Nowruz (the festival of the New Year among the Iranians and Turkic peoples) celebrated at PSU. The Kurash Tournament brings together foreign citizens studying at Penza universities. Participants represent Central Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. |
Nowruz International Festival, as part of the Around the World in Two Semesters Cultural Marathon |
Nowruz is the name of the Iranian New Year, which is celebrated worldwide by the Iranians and Turkic peoples according to solar calendar. Students from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan present their cultures and traditions. |

Good Will Games |
Set of sports and recreational events including Inter-University Cricket Tournament, IIC Futsal Cup among international students, and competitions in swimming, wrestling, street ball, volleyball, and artistic gymnastics. |
POLIS Volga Region Educational Camp for International Students |
The project involves a set of platforms for discussion and training designed for active Russian and international students who study at Russian universities. |

International Student of the Year Competition Among International Students |
The annual award International Student of the Year is conferred on results of contest tasks including academic performance indicators, results of dictation in the Russian language and public lesson My Country of Origin at school, personal presentation and interview. |

Event ‘Memory’ and laying of flowers at the Victory Memorial |
Traditionally, students lay flowers to the Eternal Flame at the Monument of Military and Labour Glory at the Victory Square, paying tribute to the heroes of Great Patriotic War. |
For Faith and Homeland International St. George Martial Arts Festival |
The sports event annually gathers representatives of martial arts centres not only from the Russian Federation but also from abroad. The teams demonstrate specific features of various martial arts. The festival aims at fostering love for healthy lifestyle, sports in younger generation as well as at developing patriotism. |

Panel session of PSU International Alumni Association |
The Association activity envisages annual panel sessions, which bring together the most outstanding foreigners who graduated from Penza State University. Following the sessions, the resolutions defining further efforts to promote the Association and to foster relations between international graduates and PSU are approved. |

Interactive and informative meetings for international students and Penza schoolchildren ‘We Are Different, but We Are Together’ |
The project is aimed at socialising international students and promoting tolerance. It is designed to provide schoolchildren from Penza and the Penza Region with first-hand knowledge of cultures and traditions existing in different countries. |
Sports and creative (acting, singing) classes |
Active involvement of foreign students in extracurricular activities promotes team building and creates a unified student body. |
