DESCRIPTION

 

Bachelor’s degree students obtain higher professional education in the sphere of professional disciplines taking into account research, projecting, engineering and technologies of electronic equipment, that meet the goals of their functioning, the requirements of reliability, design, operating conditions, and marketing.

Forms of in-class activity: lectures, laboratory classes, practical classes, review sessions, course projecting and students’ individual work.

 

AIMS

 

research activity:
•    analysing scientific and technical information, domestic and foreign experience on the research topics;
•    mathematical modelling of processes and objects on the basis of standard computer-aided design and research packages;
•    carrying out measurements, experiments and monitoring, analysis of results, describing conducted research, preparing data for reviews, reports and scientific publications;
•    compiling a report on the task implementation, participating in research implementation and development results;
•    managing intellectual property, research results and developing protection as commercial confidentiality of an enterprise
 
design and engineering activity:
•    pre-feasibility studying projects of electronic equipment design;
•    collecting and analysing source data for the calculation and design of electronic parts, components and modules of electronic equipment;
•    calculating and designing parts, assemblies and modules of electronic equipment in accordance with the terms of reference using design automation tools;
•    developing design and technical documentation, design of completed design work;
•    monitoring the compliance of  developed projects and technical documentation with standards, specifications and other regulatory documents

•     implementing development results in production;
•     works on technological preparation of production;
•     metrological support for the production of electronic equipment;
•    monitoring compliance with environmental safety;

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

 

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    apply modern means of processing, editing images and drawings and prepare design and technological documentation;
•    use basic techniques for processing and presenting experimental data;
•    search, store, process and analyze information from various sources and databases, present it in the required format using information, computer and network technologies;
•    use computer skills, know  information technology methods, comply with basic information security requirements;
•    simulate objects and processes using standard computer aided design and research packages;
•    conduct experiments according to a given method, analyze the results, write reviews, reports;
•    collect and analyse source data for the calculating and designing parts, components and modules of electronic equipment;
•    calculate and design parts, assemblies and modules of electronic equipment in accordance with the terms of reference using design automation tools;
•    develop design and technical documentation, prepare completed design work;
•    control the compliance of the developed projects and technical documentation with standards, specifications and other regulatory documents;
•    work on the technological preparation of production;
•    end-to-end design (scheme-design-technology) of parts, assemblies and modules of radio electronic equipment;
•    assess the stability of radio electronic equipment to adverse environmental factors;
•    know the basic methods of calculating and ensuring the reliability of electronic equipment.

The graduates can be employed in enterprises of the radio-electronic complex of Russia in the field of research, design, engineering and technology of electronic equipment that meet the goals of their functioning, the requirements of reliability, design, operating conditions, and marketing.
