DESCRIPTION

The programme provides Master’s degree students with in-depth theoretical knowledge in the field of electronics and radio electronics. In the process of learning, a master's student must learn to choose modern equipment, design new electronic systems and devices using modern design automation tools, mathematical modelling of processes and objects, conducting experimental studies and analyzing their results

Forms of in-class activity: lectures, laboratory classes, practical classes, review sessions, and students’ individual work.

AIMS

research activity:
•    developing work plans and programs for research and technical development, preparing separate tasks for performers;
•    collecting, processing, analysing and classifying scientific and technical information on the research topic,  choosing methods and means of solving the problem;
•    developing methods, programs, plans and organizing experiments and tests, analysing their results;
•    developing physical and mathematical models of the studied processes, phenomena and objects related to the professional field of activity;
•    modelling objects and processes in order to analyze and optimize their parameters using the available research tools, including standard application packages;
•    preparing scientific and technical reports, reviews, publications on the results of completed studies;
•    fixing and protecting intellectual property rights

project, research and development activity:
•    analysing the state of scientific and technical problems through the selection, studying and analysing literary and patent sources;
•    defining goals, setting design tasks, preparing technical tasks for the implementation of electronic projects;
•    design of modules, units, systems and complexes of electronic devices with given requirements;
•    developing design documentation for the developed designs of electronic devices in accordance with the methodical and regulatory requirements

project-technological activity:
•    developing technical specifications for the design of technological processes of production of electronic means;
•    projecting technological processes for the production of electronic means using automated systems for technological preparation of production;
•    developing technological documentation for the designed modules, units, systems and complexes of electronic means;
•    ensuring the manufacturability of products and their manufacturing processes, assessment of the economic efficiency of technological processes;
•    supporting developed modules, blocks, systems and complexes of electronic tools at the stages of design and production;

management activity:
•    organizing work of performers;
•    supporting a single information space of enterprise planning and management at all stages of the life cycle of products;
•    analysing the market efficiency of the product being created;

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•     issue, present, report and reasonably protect the results of the work performed;
•    carry out modelling of objects and processes in order to analyze and optimize their parameters using the available research tools, including standard application packages;
•    assess the significance and prospects of the use of research results, prepare reports, reviews, reports and publications on the results of work, applications for inventions, develop recommendations for the practical use of the results obtained;
•    set the design objectives, prepare the terms of reference for the implementation of electronic projects;
•    design modules, units, systems and complexes of electronic devices with given requirements;
•    develop design documentation for the design of electronic devices in accordance with the methodological and regulatory requirements;
•    design technological processes for the production of electronic devices using automated systems for technological preparation of production;
•    develop technological documentation for the designed modules, units, systems and complexes of electronic means;
•    ensure the manufacturability of products and their manufacturing processes, to evaluate the economic efficiency of technological processes;
•    carry out the author's support of the developed modules, units, systems and complexes of electronic tools at the stages of design and production;
•    participate in maintaining a single information space for planning and managing an enterprise at all stages of the product life cycle;
•     assess the stability of structures of radio-electronic means to the effects of adverse factors of operating conditions

The graduates are employed in enterprises and organizations of the radio-electronic complex of Russia in the field of electronics and radio electronics by specialists who are able to develop, design, research and operate radio-electronic means and systems of various purposes.
