DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the programme is to train highly qualified specialists with creative thinking in the field of analytical chemistry, proficient in modern analytical research methods, able to use modern information technology for processing chemical analysis results, ready to develop new analytical methods and techniques, ready for constant innovative development of the industry and individual organisations, including innovative entrepreneurship, competitive in the labour market, successfully solving professional tasks in technological, pedagogical, research and organisational activities.
AIMS
training activity:
• developing and implementing educational programmes of general secondary, secondary vocational, and supplementary education.
research activity:
• implementing assisting research activities to solve fundamental tasks in the field of chemistry;
• developing new methods for product analysis.
technological, organisational and management activity:
• controlling the quality of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products;
• certifying products and creating their data sheets;
• optimising existing technologies and methods for production and product analysis;
• organising and conducting various activities in the professional field.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• analyse and interpret the results of chemical experiments, observations and measurements;
• observing technical safety standards, conduct research on chemical processes of materials and chemical experiments, including synthesis, analysis and study of the structure and properties of substances and materials;
• apply calculational and theoretical methods to study properties of substances and their processes using modern computing equipment;
• plan work in the field of chemistry, process and interpret the results obtained using theoretical knowledge and practical skills in solving mathematical and physical tasks;
• select and apply technical tools and testing methods for solving tasks in the field of chemistry, set by a specialist with higher qualifications;
• provide research specialists with information support;
• provide specialists with information support for their work in research, design and technological testing;
• organise the work of a small labour team on solving current tasks of research and development while ensuring safe working conditions;
• organise logistical support for research and development;
• develop basic and supplementary educational programmes and their separate components, including with the use of information technology;
• organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs, in compliance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard.
