DESCRIPTION

The mission of this programme is to provide a high level of bachelor's degree training in the field of digital information and measurement technology and measurement information technology in accordance with the existing and projected needs of enterprises and organisations in Russia. The purpose of this educational programme is to develop students' social and personal qualities: determination, organisation, hard work, teamwork, sociability, tolerance, and improving their overall culture. The purpose of this training programme is to meet the individual's need to master universal, general professional and professional competencies.

AIMS

design activity:
•    defining operational conditions and modes, design features of measuring instruments, systems, and complexes, their electronic devices and components;
•    developing technical requirements and specifications for designing measuring instruments, systems, complexes, and their components;
•    designing measuring instruments, systems, complexes, their electronic and mechanical blocks, nodes, and parts;
•    organising works on managing equipment accuracy.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct design and construction of optical, optoelectronic and mechanical blocks, nodes, and components, identify the nomenclature and types of component products;
•    plan and conduct experiments, formalise research and development results;
•    conduct calculations for parameters of separate analogue blocks and complex functional blocks in general;
•    develop schematic and technical description for separate analogue blocks;
•    conduct production quality control;
•    develop electrical circuits for standard library cells;
•    analyse technical specifications and tasks for equipment design based on technical literature and patent sources;
•    design standard parts and assemblies using standard computer modelling and design tools, carry out design calculations and feasibility studies of instrument designs;
•    take part in the installation, commissioning, testing and commissioning of prototypes of equipment.
