DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the program is to provide comprehensive training for qualified, competitive specialists in the field of designing and manufacturing ammunition and fuses based on modern achievements in the educational, scientific, socio-cultural and industrial fields to ensure the modernisation of the economy, innovative and cultural development of Russia. The programme is aimed at developing universal and general professional knowledge, as well as professional competencies developed based on an analysis of the professional competence requirements for graduates in the labour market, summarizing domestic and foreign experience, and consulting with leading employers in the industry in which graduates are in demand.
AIMS
design activity:
• analysing the state and development trends of fuses;
• applying information and computer technologies when designing fuse samples;
• conducting analytical and technical development of fuse samples, taking into account technical, operational, production, and economic parameters, state and industry standards;
• developing solutions and options for solving technical problems when designing fuse samples.
production and technological activity:
• developing technical, methodological and other documents regulating the work performed;
• developing technological processes for producing fuse components and nodes;
• ensuring the quality of developing and producing fuse samples.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• comprehend the variable dynamic effects on various fuses at each stage of functioning;
• develop structural and functional diagrams for fuses of various types and purposes, built on various operation principles;
• design and calculate fire and pyrotechnic circuits for fuses of various types and purposes;
• design fuses of various types and purposes;
• design and calculate protection system for fuses of various types and purposes;
• design and develop electronic nodes for electromechanical and electronic fuses of various purposes;
• conduct experimental research and testing of separate fuse nodes, taking into account their reliability;
• design technological processes of producing separate fuse parts;
• select design materials when designing fuses of various types and purposes;
• apply design methods for technological processes of assembly and equipment work for fuses of various types and purposes.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
A graduate who has completed the programme is able to pursue professional activities as a design engineer, process engineer, test engineer, and research engineer.
