DESCRIPTION
The main purpose of the programme is to prepare graduates for activities related to software development of computer hardware and automated systems, operation and administration, drawing of embedded computing systems, server and client software solutions. The implementation of this goal should ensure that students master the basic methods and means of designing software for computing machinery, methods and tools for the administration and effective operation of automated systems and computing complexes, and acquire practical skills in working with objects of professional activity.
AIMS
design activity:
• collecting and obtaining information for formalising the subject area of a project and customer-specific requirements, interviewing key employees of the customer;
• forming and analysing requirements for the system and applied software and hardware of computers and automated systems;
• simulating applied and information processes;
• making technical and economic justifications for project solutions and technical specifications for the development of the system and applied software and hardware of computers and automated systems;
• designing information systems according to the types of support;
• programming applications, creating prototypes for the system and applied software and hardware of computers and automated systems.
production and technological activity:
• conducting the works on installing computer and automated system software;
• keeping technical documentation;
• conducting primary training and consultations for users on the operation of computer and automated system software;
• conducting technical maintenance of information systems during their operation.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
• develop requirements for computer software;
• design applied computer software;
• design embedded computer software;
• design network computer software;
• administrate server and client software.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
