DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the program is to develop students' universal, general professional competencies and professional competencies in accordance with the requirements of professional standards, to prepare graduates for scientific research and design of applied and embedded software using artificial intelligence systems. The implementation of this goal should ensure that students master promising research methods, methods for designing software and hardware for artificial intelligence systems, and acquire practical skills in working with objects of professional activity.

AIMS

design activity:
•    developing design strategies, defining design aims, efficiency criteria, and applicability limitation;
•    collecting and analysing initial data for design;
•    formulating requirements for design, designing software and hardware in accordance with technical specifications;
•    programming applications based on modern software development tools;
•    documenting the components of software and hardware complexes and systems at all stages of their life cycle;

organisation and management activity:
•    collecting and analysing scientific and technical information of Russian and foreign experience on building AI systems;
•    setting objectives for developing or improving information system components with the use of intelligent methods and algorithms for solving the complex of tasks in the subject field;
•    organising project management for building, implementing, and applying AI systems.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    develop and integrate AI components in software;
•    design AI components in software;
•    study the application of intelligence systems in various subject fields;
•    select and participate in the experimental verification of the required efficiency criteria and the quality of functioning of AI system software platforms;
•    adapt and apply methods and algorithms of machine learning for solving applied tasks in various subject areas;
•    manage projects in building, supporting, and applying AI systems on the part of a customer;
•    manage projects in creating, implementing, and applying one or several end-to-end digital AI sub-technologies in applied area on the part of a customer.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The professional activity that graduates who have completed the Master's degree program are preparing for is conducting theoretical and experimental research on practice-oriented problems and solving problems in the field of developing and improving software and hardware for computing equipment, complexes, systems and networks through the use of artificial intelligence elements.
