DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the programme is to train a teacher who knows modern methods and technologies for organising the educational process in a preschool educational organisation, possesses professionally significant personal qualities, universal, general professional, professional competencies, and is able to carry out professional activities in the design and implementation of basic general education programmes, as well as supplementary education programmes.

AIMS

training activity:
•    studying students’ abilities, needs, and achievement in the field of education;
•    conducting training and education in accordance with the requirements of educational standards;
•    applying technologies appropriate to the age characteristics of students and reflecting the specifics of the subject area;
•    ensuring educational activities taking into account special educational needs;
•    organising interaction with organisations of general education and other educational organisations, children’s groups and parents, participating in the self-management and management of school groups for solving professional activity tasks;
•    shaping an educational environment for ensuring the quality of education, including with the use of information technology;
•    ensuring vocational self-education and personal growth;
•    ensuring the protection of the life and health of students during the educational process.

design activity:
•    designing the content of educational programmes and modern training technologies, taking into account the peculiarities of the educational process, the objectives of education, and personal development through educational subjects;
•    designing individual routes of training, educating and developing students;
•    designing an individual educational route and a vocational career.

methodological activity:
•    selecting educational content for implementation in various forms of organised educational activity of a pre-school educational organisation in accordance with educational goals and children’s age characteristics;
•    planning and organising children’s educational activities in a pre-school educational organisation;
•    developing didactic materials in the subject area, from the point of view of the scientific and methodological expediency of their application in educational activities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    implement educational programmes at various levels in accordance with modern methods and technologies, including information technology, in order to ensure the quality of the educational process;
•    implement pedagogical support for students during the achievement of pre-school education goals;
•    design the subject environment of educational programmes and their elements;
•    design individual educational routes for children in subject areas set by the Federal State Educational Standards for Pre-school Education;
•    apply subject knowledge when implementing the educational process;
•    organise children’s activities aimed at developing interest in learning as part of organised educational activities;
•    apply theoretical and practical knowledge for setting and solving research objectives in the subject area and education field.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates are able to perform generalised pedagogical functions for the design and implementation of the educational process in educational institutions of pre-school education, as well as perform labour functions for the upbringing and development of pre-school children, including in the framework of supplementary education for pre-school children.
