DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the master's degree programme is to develop students’ ability to carry out the professional activities of primary school teachers in educational institutions of primary general education, readiness to solve educational, organizational, methodological and organisational and pedagogical tasks in the field of supplementary education, as well as to implement scientific, methodological and educational support for the implementation of secondary vocational education programmes.

AIMS

training activity:
•    studying basics of primary, supplementary and vocational education, and prospective directions of development to form the content of educational programmes (basic and advanced levels);
•    planning learning outcomes in accordance with regulatory documents in education and students’ age characteristics;
•    selecting subject content, methods, techniques, technologies (including information ones), organisational forms of educational activities, and means of diagnosis in accordance with the planned learning outcomes;
•    designing programmes of primary, supplementary, and vocational education (basic and advanced levels);
•    studying methods and algorithms for shaping an educational environment to achieve individual, subject and meta-subject learning outcomes; applying means of an educational subject to create a developing educational environment;
•    analysing the socio-cultural environment of a region in order to include it in the educational process;
•    designing an educational process using the potential of the socio-cultural environment of a region for teaching subjects and in extracurricular activities, as well as in the system of supplementary and vocational education;
•    applying algorithms and technologies of design activities, content, purpose, and application of innovative resources to design basic and supplementary programmes;
•    designing innovative content of educational programmes, including the development of digital educational resources.

research activity:
•    studying peculiarities of conducting research in the field of primary education;
•    solving research tasks in the field of primary, supplementary and vocational education;
•    developing algorithms and methods for achieving projected levels of one’s professional and personal growth;
•    defining criteria for scientific analysis of the means, methods and technologies of learning and electronic resources of a digital educational environment;
•    developing means, methods and technologies of learning, as well as electronic resources of a digital educational environment as part of innovative areas in the implementation of the educational process.

organisation and management activity:
•    studying developmental patterns and possibilities of applying technologies to improve the efficiency of management mechanisms in order to improve the educational system;
•    applying innovative means, methods, techniques, and technologies of management to improve the quality of education;
•    analysing and forecasting risks in the educational environment and planning complex measures to prevent and overcome them.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct and optimise professional activities in accordance with professional ethics and regulatory legal acts in the field of education;
•    design basic and supplementary educational programmes and elaborate scientific and methodological support for their implementation;
•    organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs;
•    create and implement conditions and principles for the implementation of moral education for students based on basic national values;
•    develop programmes for monitoring students’ educational results, as well as to develop and implement programmes for overcoming difficulties in education;
•    design and apply efficient psychological, pedagogical and inclusive technologies for professional activities necessary to individualise training, education and development of students, including those with special educational needs;
•    plan and organise interactions between participants in the educational process;
•    design training activities based on special scientific knowledge and research results.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The graduate is able to carry out professional activities in the design and implementation of the educational process in institutions of primary general education, as well as in the system of supplementary education and secondary vocational education.
