DESCRIPTION

The main goal of the programme is the development of students' personal qualities and the formation of a set of competencies that ensure their academic, social, personal and professional mobility. The programme prepares a graduate who is able, based on the acquired in-depth knowledge in the field of social pedagogy, skills and competencies, to independently solve the tasks of his professional activity at the modern level in the field of theory and practice of social education, pedagogical support for successful socialisation of students.

AIMS

training activity:
•    designing educational programmes at different levels (including adapted ones) in accordance with modern methods and technologies;
•    designing a developing educational environment for children with disabilities to achieve personal, subject and meta-subject educational results;
•    designing innovative components for educational programmes, including for students with disabilities.

research activity:
•    conducting research in the subject area of scientific knowledge in the field of inclusive education;
•    analysing and developing science-based tools, methods and technologies for education and electronic resources for digital educational environments for students with disabilities.

organisation and management activity:
•    assessing the potential and improving the management process using innovative management technologies.

support activity:
•    using the capacity of modern information environment in organising educational processes for children with disabilities;
•    creating conditions for supporting families in raising and educating children with disabilities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct and optimise professional activities in accordance with professional ethics and regulatory legal acts in the field of education;
•    design basic and supplementary educational programmes and elaborate scientific and methodological support for their implementation;
•    organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs;
•    create and implement conditions and principles for the implementation of moral education for students based on basic national values;
•    develop programmes for monitoring students’ educational results, as well as to develop and implement programmes for overcoming difficulties in education;
•    design and apply efficient psychological, pedagogical and inclusive technologies for professional activities necessary to individualise training, education and development of students, including those with special educational needs;
•    plan and organise interactions between participants in the educational process;
•    design training activities based on special scientific knowledge and research results.
