DESCRIPTION

The mission of the programme is to train an active, creative-minded professional in the field of design and production and technological activities for the creation (modification) and maintenance of information systems designed to automate organizational management tasks and business processes of enterprises (organizations) of various forms of ownership and contribute to improving the efficiency of their employees (users of information systems).

AIMS

training activity:
•    coordinating activities of an interdisciplinary team in a complex support system and interactions with parents and social partners when solving current tasks in remedial teaching, as well as designing a remedial educational environment and methodological materials;
•    conducting remedial and developmental teaching and education in accordance with the requirements of educational standards targeted at students with disabilities;
•    applying innovative technologies (including information technology), distance education technologies, and e-learning in order to optimise the remedial education process;
•    monitoring the efficiency of remedial, training, habilitation and rehabilitation processes targeted at individual with disabilities in institutions of general and vocational education;
•    conducting remedial and developmental training using assisting tools and technologies to form alternative and additional communication;
•    counselling families in order to teach them methods of supporting individuals with disabilities, optimally organising their life activities, and constructive ways of interaction;
•    cooperating with specialists from an interdisciplinary team to support individuals with disabilities.

research activity:
•    studying and systemising achievements of Russian and foreign researchers in the field of special education and related fields of knowledge;
•    designing and implementing research programmes taking into account the objects of professional activities;
•    selecting means, methods and technologies of learning, as well as electronic resources of a digital educational environment as part of innovative areas in the implementation of the educational process.

support activity:
•    organising and implementing complex support for individuals with disabilities, their families, and other participants of the educational process;
•    optimising social and environmental conditions for the life activities of individuals with disabilities;
•    counselling parents or surrogate parents on teaching, educating, and developing their child with disabilities;
•    counselling teachers or other specialists supporting a student with disabilities on creating special conditions and choosing teaching technologies corresponding to the special educational needs of the student.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    conduct and optimise professional activities in accordance with professional ethics and regulatory legal acts in the field of education;
•    design basic and supplementary educational programmes and elaborate scientific and methodological support for their implementation;
•    organise joint and individual learning and educational activities for students, including those with special educational needs;
•    create and implement conditions and principles for the implementation of moral education for students based on basic national values;
•    develop programmes for monitoring students’ educational results, as well as to develop and implement programmes for overcoming difficulties in education;
•    design and apply efficient psychological, pedagogical and inclusive technologies for professional activities necessary to individualise training, education and development of students, including those with special educational needs;
•    plan and organise interactions between participants in the educational process;
•    design training activities based on special scientific knowledge and research results.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The graduate is able to perform generalised pedagogical functions for the design and implementation of educational and remedial-developmental processes, as well as carry out cultural, educational and methodological work in educational organisations at the level of preschool, primary, general, basic general, secondary general, and vocational education.
