DESCRIPTION

The objective of the programme is to meet the educational needs of the individual, society, and the state by developing a unified educational space in jurisprudence; to ensure the comprehensive development of the learner's personality; to form universal, general professional, and professional competencies; as well as to satisfy society’s demand for fundamentally educated and harmoniously developed specialists proficient in modern technologies relevant to their professional activities. The training of graduates is based on practice-oriented learning, which allows combining fundamental knowledge with practical professional skills.

AIMS

rule-making activity:
•    developing legal acts.

law enforcement activity:
•    implementing legal rules on the legal groundwork for national security and drafting legal documents;
•    detecting, preventing and suppressing security threats to individuals, society and the state;
•    providing legal aid for individuals and legal entities to defend their rights and legitimate interests.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    prepare, adopt, improve and repeal legal acts, draft legal documents based on the legal groundwork for national security;
•    implement individual legal prescriptions and make justified decisions in strict accordance with the law;
•    define legal actions in strict accordance with the law and in strict observance of the order established by it;
•    apply rules of substantive and procedural law in accordance with legal principles and current legal acts, considering the specifics of individual branches of law, and make justified legal decisions in accordance with existing legislation.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates may find employment in government bodies focused on maintaining security; legislative, judicial, or executive authorities; local self-government institutions; legal departments of companies engaged in foreign economic activity; offices authorised to protect human rights (including those of children and entrepreneurs); as well as in advocacy and notarial services.
