Department of Law Enforcement

Effective law enforcement requires highly qualified staff, who are able to address the arising challenges in terms of maintaining public order and fighting crime. Therefore, the Department of Law Enforcement prioritises thorough and intensive teaching and learning in the marked study field, engaging students in field-specific practical trainings and master classes, and supervising joint research.

The department continuously upgrades its learning environment and provides its facilities (laboratory, indoor and outdoor crime scene simulation area, and shooting range) with necessary equipment. Students gain practical skills using illustrated study guides, simulators, dummies and other learning tools.

Teaching staff at the department are actively engaged in research on various legal issues. They conduct scientific inquiries, establish patterns, generalise facts and give scientific justification of projects. In addition, they encourage students to carry out labour-intensive and independent research. In this regard, an important component is organising scientific teams and arranging scientific events, including competitive ones, at various levels.

The department focuses on close and mutually beneficial cooperation with law enforcement agencies to ensure its graduates’ employment. These institutions include Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Public Prosecution Office, Division of the Investigative Committee, Administration of Justice Department, Division of the Federal Penitentiary Service, Administration of Federal Court Bailiffs Service, and others.
