In addition, teaching staff are involved in research work together with their students.

The major focus areas of the centre include challenges in physical education of schoolchildren, medical and biological aspects of training athletes, professionally applied physical training, healthy lifestyle and factors that determine its formation means and methods of physical training for maintaining health. At the regular meetings of the centre, its participants consider the research findings and discuss issues that can generate certain research interest among students. As part of these meeting, decisions are made on the new research projects. Students’ research works are presented at the annual research-to-practice conferences for students and staff held at the Institute of Sport and Physical Training. The best papers are published in the conferences proceedings and featured at the regional, national and international events.
