Penza State University holds parliamentarism lessons for schoolchildren

On 27 April 2022, the Parliamentarism Lessons were held at Penza State University for the Penza schoolchildren. The event was attended by the schoolchildren from V.G. Belinsky classical gymnasium No. 1, Lyceum of Modern Management Technologies No. 2, gymnasium No. 4 "Steps", school No. 7, school No. 12, school No. 14, school No. 30, school No. 49, school No. 58, Financial and Economic Lyceum No. 29.

As part of the parliamentarism lessons, the experts in the field of European and Russian law spoke to the schoolchildren:

- the emergence and development of the representative power in Russia was covered by PhD in Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Private and Public Law, member of the ProEU research team Evgenia Kazakova;

- ProEU project manager, Doctor in Legal Sciences, Professor Gleb Sintsov highlighted the constitutional and legal aspects of European parliamentarism;

- the activity and current projects of the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Assembly of the Penza Region were presented by its chairperson Yulia Kiryushina.

The students of the Institute of Law, studying the module "Protection of Human Rights within and across the European Union" under the ProEU project, prepared interactive activities for the schoolchildren, during which they presented information in an interesting way about the basics of parliamentarism in the Russian Federation and in the European Union member states.
