Professional development course within the international ENTEP project completed for the third time

The third group of Penza State University staff mastered the professional development course “Enhancing teaching practices in terms of implementing the Bologna Process”. This time the course was delivered in the blended format, i.e. one part of face-to-face classes was conducted online, and the second part was given on campus. The course materials are freely available in the virtual learning environment of the Penza State University Moodle.

PSU took part in the international symposium Higher Education in Transition

On 24 September 2020, the members of the consortium running the project “Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in RUSSIA and CHINA” (ENTEP) attended the international symposium Higher Education in Transition, which was organised by Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra (Portugal). Penza State University was represented by Tatiana Razuvaeva, Head of the International Projects Department, and Tatiana Glotova, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Aided Design Systems, who delivered the report “Transition to Online Learning at Penza State University: Challenges and Perspectives”.

PSU continues implementing international ENTEP project under Erasmus+ Capacity Building

On 4 September 2020, the project team of Penza State University took part in the online meeting of the consortium implementing the project “Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in RUSSIA and CHINA”. The European, Chinese and Russian colleagues discussed the key issues related to running the project in a complex epidemiological situation, while the project coordinator Prof. Dr. Holger Kuße invited the consortium members to hold a series of online conferences on distance learning.

Online meeting held on the implementation of the ENTEP project

On 22 June 2020, the project team participants from Penza State University attended the online meeting of the consortium running the international project Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in RUSSIA and CHINA (ENTEP). The project managers at PSU had a discussion with Russian and foreign colleagues on the key issues of implementing the project in the alarming epidemiological situation. The project coordinator Prof. Dr. Holger Kuße informed that the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency decided to extend the project till 15 October 2021.

Second group of PSU lecturers completed professional development course within the international ENTEP project

The second group of trainees completed training in the professional development course “Enhancing teaching practices in terms of implementing the Bologna Process” at the Centre for Teaching and Learning Erasmus+. The trainees explored the basic values and tools of the Bologna Process, principles of student-centred teaching and learning (SCTL), innovative approaches and techniques for learning outcomes assessment, as well as modern teaching methods and approaches.

Second group of PSU lecturers joins the professional development course under the ENTEP project

19 trainees – teaching and administrative staff of Penza State University – undergo training in the professional development course “Enhancing teaching practices in terms of implementing the Bologna Process” at the Centre for Teaching and Learning Erasmus+. The classes are held in the distance mode (using the Zoom platform) in order to comply with the regime of self-isolation.

PSU initiates next stage of the ENTEP project

Within the ENTEP project, Penza State University proceeded to updating the content of disciplines on Teaching Methodology, Pedagogy and Psychology in MA curricula, taking into account the principles of student-centered teaching and learning. This is the final stage of the international ENTEP project, which should be implemented during 2020 – 2021.

23 trainees – PSU lecturers and post-graduate students – successfully completed the professional development course “Enhancing teaching practice in terms of implementing the Bologna Process” at the Centre for Teaching and Learning Erasmus+.

PSU started implementing a professional development course under ENTEP international project

The aim of the programme is to develop psychological and pedagogical competences of the course-takers while implementing the main provisions of the student-centred approach within European Higher Education Area (EHEA) taking into account European best practices

PSU gains access to IPR BOOKS Digital Library through EBSCO

As part of the international project “Enhancing teaching practice in higher education in Russia and China (ENTEP)”, IPR BOOKS Digital Library was made available to Penza State University through EBSCO (leading provider of research databases, e-journals, magazine subscriptions, e-books and discovery service) for 2020.

Research Conference in Sanya (China) under ENTEP international project

On 19th-20th November, 2019, the University of Sanya (China) hosted the conference «Framing Challenges in Higher Education: Bridging the gap between Russia, China and Europe» under the implementation of the ENTEP international project.

European experts from ENTEP consortium visited Centre for Teaching and Learning at PSU

On 8-9 October, the experts from European Universities, participating in the implementation of the project “Enhancing teaching practice in higher education in Russia and China (ENTEP)”, paid a working visit to PSU. Susana Gonçalves, Professor of Polytechnic of Coimbra (Portugal), Milica Lazovic, a research staff member of University of Hildesheim (Germany), Elena Guseletova, deputy coordinator of ENTEP project, (Ural State University of Economics) got acquainted with the course of the project implementation at Penza State University.

EU experts develop Didactical Manual and Practical Guide within ENTEP project

The experts from Stiftung Universität Hildesheim, Liverpool John Moores University, Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna and Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra participating in the project “Enhancing teaching practice in higher education in Russia and China” (ENTEP) presented the advanced pedagogical approaches and innovative methodologies.

Senior staff presents PSU advances within ENTEP project at council meeting

On 27 – 29 May 2019, Sergei Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Konstantin Korolev, Head of the International Projects Department, attended the council meeting within the project “Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in RUSSIA and CHINA” (ENTEP). The event was held at the Hualian Private University in Guangzhou (China).

On 22 – 26 October 2018, Svetlana Vlazneva, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and International Relations, and Olga Androsova, Associate Professor of the Department of Translation and Translation Studies, took part in the workshop organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal).

International scientific and practical conference of ENTEP project partners in Kazan

PSU staff delivered their reports on the Conference “Exploring cross-border collaborations in higher education institutions: Teaching and learning”, which was held at Kazan Federal University on 16 – 17 October 2018, and participated in the Coordinators meeting for the designated representatives of partner-institutions within the ENTEP project.

PSU Associate Professor Irina Kolchugina takes part in training session in Bologna

On 17 – 22 September 2018, Irina Kolchugina, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry, underwent internship within the Erasmus + project Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in Russia and China (ENTEP). The event was hosted by the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Bologna (Italy).

On 3 – 7 September 2018, Tatiana Razuvaeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, completed internship at Liverpool John Moores University. This training session was arranged within the international project ENTEP: Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in Russia and China.

Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Aided Design Systems, attended the training workshop “Enhancing Intercultural Teaching in Russia and China” held at the University of Hildesheim (Germany) on 3 – 8 September 2018.

PSU senior managers exchange best practices within ENTEP training session

Viktor Mekhanov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Olga Surina, Director of Belinsky Institute of Teacher Education, and Gennady Kozlov, Director of the Polytechnic Institute, participated in the workshops held by the Technische Universität Dresden on 18 – 22 June 2018. The event was organised for Russian and Chinese senior administrative staff within the project Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in Russia and China (ENTEP).

ENTEP Top Managers Workshop attended by PSU staff

On 11 – 15 June 2018, Sergei Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Konstantin Korolev, Head of the International Projects Department, participated in the ENTEP Top Managers Professional Development Workshop. This session was held at Liverpool John Moores University (the UK) within the EU-funded Erasmus+ project.

On 6 – 7 March 2018, Sergei Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Konstantin Korolev, Head of the International Projects Department, participated in the kick-off-meeting within ENTEP: Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in Russia and China.
