Penza State university is one of the leading universities in international education in the Russian Federation – about 3000 students from 50 countries study there.

The Institute of International Cooperation provides support for international students throughout the whole process of studying at the university (educational, methodological, migration, adaptation) and also trains specialists in the field of linguistics and philology.

The structure of the Institute of International Cooperation includes two offices: International Education Office and International Relations Office.

The International Education Office  oversees and supports all academic and extra-curricular activities of international students, participation in the university admission procedure for foreign citizens to study in basic educational programmes and in the Pre-University Training Office, as well as assistance to the work of the university admissions committee.

The International Relations Office works towards internationalization of university education, university integration into the global research network, creating its positive image and building strong reputation in world universities community.

The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language was founded in 1988. Currently, the department is part of the Institute of International Cooperation.

For the necessary preparation of foreign students from near and far abroad countries for admission to the university, Pre-University Training Office provides education in 6 courses.
