DESCRIPTION
The Bachelor's degree programme is aimed at developing basic knowledge in social, economic and managerial subjects which allow graduates to successfully perform information analytical, organization management and entrepreneurial activity at enterprises and in organizations of different forms of property, as well as be engaged in research and development aimed at increasing the efficiency of management at different levels. The programme provides advanced training in financial and investment management in commercial and budgetary organizations.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:
• find effective organization management decisions and be ready to be responsible for them;
• demonstrate the skills of designing organisational structure, elaborating the strategy of organisational development and human resources management, planning and organising operational activity;
• have the skills of using the main theories of motivation, leadership and power for solving managerial tasks, organising effective communication and work in team, solving conflict situations;
• apply the main methods of financial management for assessing the assets, capital management, making decisions about finances and investments;
• have the skills of managing a project, a programme of introducing technological and product innovations and organizational changes;
• conduct negotiations, coordinate the activity for achieving high cooperation when implementing projects and tasks, implement current and stage control;
• demonstrate the skills of organizing and keep documentation flow, drafting contracts and agreements, legal accompanying of transactions;
• demonstrate the skills of quantity and quality analysis of information when making managerial decisions, building economic, financial and organisation management models and adapting them to particular management tasks;
• apply the principles and standards of financial accounting for forming accounting policy and financial reports of an organization, of managing expenditures and making decisions based on management accounting data;
• assess the efficiency and risks of investment projects, financial planning and forecasting taking into consideration the role of financial markets and institutes;
• assess economic conditions of conducting entrepreneurial activity and identify new market opportunities;
• have the skills of business planning, setting up and developing new organizations (areas of activity, products), coordinating the activity of different participants in the process of implementing the business-plan.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The graduates can work in economic, financial, production and analytical agencies of organizations of different forms of property, consulting and audit firms, banks, financial and investment companies, state and municipal authorities, as managers and administrators performing organization management functions, making and implementing managerial decisions, as entrepreneurs setting up and developing their own business. Besides, graduates can be engaged in teaching and research activity according to their major.
On completion of the Bachelor's degree programme the graduates can continue their studies and take a master degree course.
