DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the program is to develop universal, general professional and professional competencies among students, and to prepare graduates for the development and operation of automated control systems. The implementation of this goal should ensure that students master the basic methods and tools for developing software and hardware, implementing and effectively using automated control systems, and acquiring practical skills in working with professional activities.  Training under this program is focused on meeting society's needs for qualified personnel who can positively influence both domestic Russian and global processes.

AIMS

research activity:
•    analysing scientific and research information of Russian and foreign experience on research topics;
•    organising and conducting experiments at existing facilities in accordance with the set methods;
•    processing the results of experimental research using modern information technologies and technical means;
•    conducting computational experiments using standard software in order to obtain mathematical models of processes and objects in automation and management;
•    preparing data, writing reviews, abstracts, reports, and scientific publications, making presentations for scientific conferences and seminars, implementing research and development results;
•    organising protection for intellectual property and research and development results as a commercial secret of an enterprise.

design activity:
•    preparing technical and economic justifications for projects of creating automation and management systems and tools;
•    collecting and analysing initial data for calculating and designing automation and management devices and systems;
•    calculating and designing separate automation and management blocks and devices in accordance with technical specifications;
•    developing design and working documentation, formalising reports on finished design work;
•    managing the compliance of projects and technical documentation under development with standards, technical specifications, and other regulatory documents.

organisational and management activity:
•    organising the work of small groups of contractors;
•    developing organisational and technical documentation (work schedules, manuals, plans, estimates, etc.) and set reporting on approved forms;
•    preventing occupational injuries, occupational diseases, and environmental violations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
•    collect and analyse scientific and technical information, summarise the best national and international experience in the development and implementation of management systems;
•    implementing new methods and techniques for building research-based management systems and modernising existing ones;
•    calculate and design separate elements and subsystems of management systems;
•    build models for separate elements and nodes of management systems;
•    manage professional activity resources.
