For the whole period of stay in the Russian Federation foreign nationals are required to have the insurance policy document, which specifies the name of the policy holder and validity for the duration of the journey, indicates the geographical area coverage (Russia, worldwide, or other options), and covers medical expenses and repatriation.

The insurance policy document should contain insurance company logo and stamp, insurer position and signature. If this document does not include any logo, stamp or signature, it should outline the name and the contact details of the insurer.
