Penza State University has strengthened its international ties by signing a cooperation agreement with the A.A.Tibilov South Ossetian State University.

The document was signed during the official visit of the SOSU delegation to the Penza Region. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and opportunities for developing joint projects.

"It is important to exchange experiences," noted SOSU Rector Vadim Tedeev, emphasizing that all cooperation agreements that the university has (and there are already more than 70 of them with Russian universities) are practical in nature and are being actively implemented.

During the visit, the SOSU representatives visited the Information and Exhibition Center of PSU, where they learned about the history and achievements of the Penza university.

The guests were especially interested in such areas as the educational and scientific activities of the university, the experience of organizing military training at PSU, and the project to create a Botanical Garden.

Aleksandr Guliakov, Rector of PSU, presented detailed information about the structure of the university, its achievements and development prospects. It was noted that over its 80-year history, the university has trained more than 170 thousand specialists of various profiles.

The SOSU delegation expressed interest in developing practical cooperation and exchanging experience in various fields.

The South Ossetian delegation also included Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Affairs Eduard Tskhovrebov, Head of the SOSU TV media holding Alla Dzhioeva, as well as Assistant to the Rector, Teacher in the English Language Department, and Executive Secretary of the Representative Office of the Russian Historical Society in the Republic of South Ossetia Irina Tadtaeva.

The parties expressed their willingness to actively develop cooperation and implement joint projects in the educational and scientific spheres.
