PSU awarded winners and participants of the test-quest "TruD"
On April 15, Penza State University hosted an award ceremony for participants of the TruD test-quest, a special version of the global Total Dictation campaign for those studying Russian as a foreign language.
The organizers of the event are the Institute of International Cooperation, Department of Russian as a Foreign Language.
This year, students from India, China, Lebanon, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries took part in the event at Penza State University. There were 83 international participants in total — students studying at PSU in various faculties. 20 people wrote the test with an “excellent” mark, and student of 23ИЛК 1 group Gulshat Khemraeva got 100 points for the task. The test included 11 main tasks, a bonus task and a short dictation. This year, the dictation text was dedicated to the topic of travel and was called “My friend air balloon”, whose author was the famous writer Marina Moskvina. The tasks for the “TruD” test-quest were developed by specialists in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
“The TruD test is a real celebration of the Russian language, it gives participants the opportunity not only to test their knowledge, but also to enrich their vocabulary by completing exciting tasks, recording and analyzing a fragment of an authentic text in Russian,” comments Olga Barabash, Acting Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language.
It should be noted that students of Penza State University take part in the dictation every year.
“This is not the first time I have participated in the TruD Test, because the tasks are always interesting and I like the Russian language,” shares his impressions Tirth Miteshkumar Shelak, a student of the Medical Institute.
The organizers presented all participants with certificates, and the top students received gifts from the regional partners of the event.
"I am grateful to PSU for the opportunity to participate in such events. I even wrote to the author of the Total Dictation Marina Moskvina and received a response from her wishing me luck!" admits Zhavokhir Mamatkulov, a student of the Faculty of Computer Science.
The teachers of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, who took part in organizing the event and checking the tests and dictations, were awarded letters of gratitude from the Total Dictation headquarters.
