The competition “Fresher 2023” has come to an end - the results of the largest creative competition among first-year students were summed up at a gala concert that took place on Monday, October 23. The highest awards were conferred to international students of Penza State University.

As part of the competition programme, a first-year student from Sudan, future doctor Ravan Mohamed, after a soulful performance of the song “In the stars,” made everyone in the room fall in love with her and her voice and became the winner in the “Best Female Vocal” category.  Malika Rustamova, an international student of the Faculty of Dentistry from Uzbekistan, delighted the jury members with the national dance Zhoziba and was awarded a special prize “For the development of cultural diversity”.

The “Freshman” competition was the girls’ first step into an active creative life. It is worth noting that a new bright event awaits them ahead, for the final of which they are actively preparing: Malika and Ravan are participants in the “Miss World. Folk Queen," a beauty contest among international students. They will take the stage again and compete for the title of the most creative and bright international student of PSU on November 17.
