Penza State University expands horizons: career guidance meetings with applicants from Turkmenistan in online format
From May 12 to 14, 2025, representatives of the Institute of International Cooperation, together with the partner organization "Osush Nokady", held a series of career guidance meetings with applicants from Turkmenistan and their parents. The meetings were held online. The employees of the Institute of International Cooperation spoke about Penza State University, its traditions and opportunities for students. They explained in detail the admission rules, including a list of required documents and application deadlines. Future students were also interested in the living conditions of foreign citizens.
Potential applicants were given the opportunity to undergo an initial interview on knowledge of the Russian language and check the level of school knowledge necessary for admission to the university. The interview was conducted by teachers of the Pre-University Training Department of the Institute of International Cooperation: Yulia Zelenova, Olga Rodzina, Elena Khudyakova.
More than 100 people took part in the interview. Applicants who demonstrated a sufficient level of proficiency in Russian were offered to take entrance examinations and, if they pass them successfully, to enroll in our university in their chosen study field. And for those who still have difficulty with Russian, it was recommended to take a course at the Pre-University Training Department, which will help them adapt to the new environment and prepare for further education, so that they can confidently join the main stream of students next academic year.
“These meetings and individual interviews are an excellent opportunity for our future students to assess their level of preparation and consciously choose an educational path within the walls of Penza State University,” commented Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at PSU.
