The Admission Commission of PSU held a seminar with school principals from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan
The Admission Committee of Penza State University together with the partner organisation ‘Eminur Asia’ and Lomonosov School headed by the founder Nuriya Turdakulova held a career guidance seminar with school principals of Issyk-Kul region (the Republic of Kyrgyzstan) on the topic of attracting applicants to enter PSU.
The seminar was held in an online format. The participants from Penza State University were: Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Vitaly Soloviev, Head of the International Education Office Sergey Ivanchin, Director of the Centre for Admission and Pre-University Training Igor Kamardin, Director of the Polytechnic Institute Gennady Kozlov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Teacher Education named after V.G.Belinsky Valentina Morozova. Students from Kyrgyzstan who study at PSU were invited to the meeting: Zhavohir Mamatkulov (Faculty of Computer Engineering), Medina Mudarisova, Nurgazy Kyzy Kanykei, Zalkarbek Kyzy Elina (Faculty of Industrial Technologies, Power Engineering and Transport).
In the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the seminar was attended by: Head of Issyk-Kul Regional Institute of Education Cholponai Sadykova, Deputy Head Aizat Samatova, heads of regional and city education departments, as well as school principals of Issyk-Kul oblast.
The staff of the PSU Admission Committee introduced the university, presented in detail the study fields at the Polytechnic Institute and Institute of Teacher Training, told about adaptation and support work with international students throughout the period of study, as well as about migration rules, living in the dormitory and the city of Penza itself.
Kyrgyz students told about their experience of studying at PSU, about scientific, sports and creative activities in their free time. School principals asked various questions, including about the admission procedure. Vitaly Soloviev informed the Kyrgyz colleagues that the PSU visiting Admission Committee will be working in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan from 1 to 5 July 2025, and all interested applicants can test their knowledge at the entrance examinations.
