Applicants from Morocco successfully pass the entrance examinations at PSU

More than 150 applicants from Morocco successfully passed the entrance examinations organized by Penza State University partner organization, "Russian Arabian Gate," in the capital, Rabat.

The admissions campaign and career guidance meetings with applicants and their parents were carried out by: Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office of the Institute of International Cooperation; Aleksandr Pervushkin, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, International Education Office, Institute of International Cooperation; and Adel Maqbol, Chairperson of the Association of International Students.

"PSU international activities in Morocco have been ongoing for three years now. This includes career guidance for new applicants to both higher education programmes and the Russian language pre-university programme. Relations with Moroccan universities are developing, and we are working with our compatriots in Morocco," commented Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at PSU.

Suleiman Oulad, a PSU Moroccan graduate of 2025, addressed the applicants. He spoke warmly about his years of study at PSU and his decision to continue his education there. He wished the students success in passing their entrance exams and an unforgettable education in Penza, Russia.

Yulia Pronina, the mother of two of our students from Morocco, Suleiman and Sufian, addressed the applicants' parents. She left Penza for Morocco in 2001. Speaking Arabic, Yulia told the parents about Penza, her sons' years of study at Penza State University, and praised the university's educational organization. Taking the opportunity, Yulia expressed her sincere gratitude to Rector Aleksandr Guliakov, the faculty, and the staff of the university's International Service.

Adel Maqbol
, Chairman of the Penza Region Association of International Students, spoke to prospective students and parents about PSU comprehensive approach to international student adaptation, from their arrival in Penza to graduation. He emphasized the high motivation of Moroccan students to study. Furthermore, parents can always access information about their children's academic progress.

PSU representatives presented Penza State University and its new areas of study.

"This year, our university has opened enrollment for the new programme in Biology in English at the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences at the Institute of Teacher Education, and the first group of Moroccan students has been admitted. Currently, approximately 200 students from Morocco are studying at PSU, and based on the results of the admissions committee's work, there will be over 350 Moroccan students," noted Sergey Ivanchin.

The first group of Moroccan applicants has already arrived at PSU.
