PSU develops cooperation with Serbia
Penza State University and the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed during the official visit of the Serbian delegation to Penza State University.
The meeting between representatives of the Serbian delegation and PSU Rector Aleksandr Guliakov took place on October 31. The parties exchanged proposals for areas of cooperation.
The Serbian delegation included: Jovica Petrović, member of the Executive Board of Directors of Metacognis Institute; Luka Kastratović, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia, retired Major General; Miloš Džošan, member of the Executive Board of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia, retired Major General.
Jovica Petrović is the Serbian coordinator of the collaboration, and thanks to him, the collaboration between PSU and Metacognis Institute began in 2022. During this time, Serbian scientists have participated in a number of online events and scientific and practical conferences held at PSU. Together with Serbian and Indian scientists, two applications were submitted to international competitions of the Russian Science Foundation, and joint articles were published.
Jovica Petrović initiated cooperation with the University of Novi Sad, the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade, the University of Banja Luka (Republika Srpska), and the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia. During this period, cooperation agreements were concluded with Metacognis Institute and the University of Novi Sad.
In the autumn semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, Vladimir Ustinov, a student of the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature at PSU, will study at the University of Novi Sad as part of an academic exchange programme funded by a scholarship from the Ministry of Education of Serbia.
Under the agreement signed with the Club of Generals and Admirals, joint educational and scientific projects to study the military history of Russia and Serbia, as well as joint cultural and educational events to preserve historical memory, are planned.
"Cooperation with leading educational, scientific, patriotic, and cultural organizations in Serbia opens new horizons for our students and faculty, facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience, preserves historical memory, and strengthens international ties," noted PSU Rector Aleksandr Guliakov.
