The presentations on adaptive physical education by teachers from the Institute of Sport and Physical Training of PSU were recognized as the best at the International Scientific Conference in Bishkek
From October 15–18, the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Education and Sports (KSAPES) hosted the International Scientific Conference "Physical Education and Sport as the Basis for Developing a Healthy Lifestyle in the Context of the Digital Transformation of Education." The conference was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan leading sports university. Representatives from Penza State University participated in the conference.
The Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Education and Sports named after B.T. Turusbekov was founded in 1955 and has graduated 13,000 students over the past 70 years. It is considered the leader in sports education in Kyrgyzstan. The faculty of KSAPES includes several doctors of sciences and honored coaches of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The scientific event in Bishkek brought together leading scientists and experts from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and China to discuss current issues in the development of physical education and sports in the era of digital transformation of education.
The conference focused on several research areas: physical education in preschool and school education; student sports; medical and biological support for physical education, health, and sports activities; sports medicine as an object of sports science; current issues and prospects for the development of adaptive physical education, and others.
Teachers from the Institute of Sport and Physical Training at PSU contributed to the discussion of various aspects of student sports and adaptive physical education. Irina Kiryukhina, Head of the Department of Physical Education, Associate Professor, and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and Yulia Tikhonova, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Physical Education and Sports, Candidate of Social Sciences, presented a study on the specifics of adaptive swimming training for children with musculoskeletal disorders. Svetlana Petrunina, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education, and Svetlana Khabarova, Candidate of Social Sciences, prepared a paper on "Using an Individualized Integrated Methodology for Improving the Physical Activity of Individuals with Musculoskeletal Disorders in Cyclic Sports."
PSU scientists were awarded diplomas for the best report by KSAPES Rector E.M. Tukeyev.
"The conference in Bishkek provided an excellent platform for exchanging experiences and identifying promising areas for developing physical education and sports today. The forum emphasized the importance of international cooperation in advancing science and education in sports," noted Irina Kiryukhina.
