PSU student Abdumazhidova Parizoda is among the best international students in Russia
From December 10 to 16, 2023, the final of the Russian National Award “Student of the Year” was held at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow, which is a unique competitive and educational project for students of educational organizations of the Russian Federation who have special achievements in educational, scientific, sports, creative and public life. The organizers of the Award are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Russia – the Land of Opportunities” and the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Youth Union”.
This year, more than 600 university students from 60 regions of Russia, winners of the regional and distant stages of the project, became participants in the Award. Students presented their achievements in 13 categories. A student of Penza State University from Uzbekistan, Parizoda Abdumazhidova, competed for the title of “International Student of the Year”. The competitive tests included several stages: self-presentation, testing on the topic “Teacher and Mentor,” and a business game. The “My Homeland” competition deserves special attention, where participants need to talk about the culture, traditions and way of life of their home country in the format of a vivid video, with the presentation of traditional music, costumes and national dishes. Moreover, the programme included a large number of entertainment events: concerts, performances, activities on the “Your Move” forum and much more.
“The Student of the Year Award for me is a bright end to this busy year. In my nomination, students who came from different parts of the world competed for the title of best. Our team was one of the friendliest and brightest. The experts especially noted my presentations, saying that they were the most interesting and creative. Not only did I gain knowledge and experience, but also found new talented friends,” noted Parizoda Abdumazhidova.
This year, the victory in the category “International Student of the Year” went to Aziret Amanzhanov from the Omsk region, and the laureates were Nikolai Styagov (Sverdlovsk region) and Ochgerel Zolgerel (Moscow).
