The Institute of Teacher Education Expands Cooperation with Chinese Educational Institutions
On November 27, a working online meeting was held with representatives of the Bayingolin Vocational Institute (China), during which the possibilities of implementing a joint educational project in course "Pedagogical Education", bachelor’s degree programme "Preschool Education" were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Olga Surina, Director of the Institute of Teacher Education, Lunika Korchagina, Head of the Department of Preschool Education and Defectology, Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office of the Institute of International Cooperation, and Tatiana Razuvaeva, Head of the International Projects Department of the Institute of International Cooperation.
The Chinese Institute was represented by Deputy Secretary of the People's Government of the Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Deputy Secretary of the Prefectural Party Committee on Education, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bayingolin Vocational Institute Jian Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Bayingolin Vocational Institute Gulina Zhouzi, member of the Party Committee of the Institute, Deputy Director of the Institute Yi Haitao, Dean of the Faculty of New Media Industry Meng Xuanyu, Deputy Head of the Administrative Department Yang Shan, General Director of Hua Chuang BoRun (Beijing) International Educational Technology Co., Ltd. Jielin Zhao.
After the presentation of educational institutions and the bachelor’s degree programme “Preschool education” implemented at the Department of Preschool Education and Defectology in course "Pedagogical Education", the meeting participants moved on to discussing the conditions for implementing a joint educational project with Chinese partners. A preliminary agreement was reached that graduates of Bayingolin Vocational Institute will study Russian at the Pre-University Education Department of PSU, and then enroll in the educational programme in preschool education with the opportunity to master its content according to individual curricula. The parties agreed to begin work on preparing and signing an agreement on implementing the joint educational project.
The Chinese colleagues thanked the management of Penza State University and the participants of the meeting for their willingness to develop cooperation with Bayingolin Vocational Institute. Summing up the results of the meeting, Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, noted the importance of developing cooperation with Chinese educational institutions in the current geopolitical situation and the need to strengthen Russian-Chinese relations, especially among young people.
