On Friday, December 20, the 1st International Educational Video Bridge was held, connecting teachers from the Department of Russian Language and Methods of Teaching Russian Language at the Institute of Teacher Education, Penza State University, and representatives of the Russian Center at Tajik National University (TNU).

In her welcoming speech, Inessa Rodionova, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Methods of Teaching Russian Language at PSU, Doctor of Philological Sciences, spoke about the need to develop cooperation between Russian and Tajik teachers of Russian. Professor Mekhrinisso Nagzibekova, Head of the Russian Center at TNU, Doctor of Philological Sciences, noted that interest in the Russian language in Tajikistan remains consistently high, despite objective difficulties: a shortage of qualified specialists and modern textbooks and teaching materials.

During the video conference, teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Methods of Teaching Russian Language, Lyudmila Guryanova and Inessa Rodionova, told their Tajik colleagues about the Penza Region, the outstanding people who made it famous, and Penza State University.

The participants of the event expressed hope for developing and strengthening cooperation. The next online meeting will be held in February 2025 and will be dedicated to International Mother Language Day. It is planned that Russian and Tajik students will take part in the event.
