Penza State University has achieved significant success by entering the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 world ranking for interdisciplinary research in computer, physical, mechanical and life sciences.

This event not only reflects the high quality of the university's research work, but also highlights its growing international recognition.

The ranking, which includes 749 leading universities from 92 countries, is highly selective and evaluates universities according to strict criteria, focusing on an innovative approach to scientific research, the intersection of various fields of knowledge and the achievement of a synergistic effect. The leaders of the ranking are universities that have long established themselves as centers of scientific thought: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and the National University of Singapore.

Russia is represented in this prestigious ranking by 38 universities, which demonstrates the significant, although not fully realized, potential of domestic science.

PSU, having taken a place in the 601+ range among 749 universities in the world, shows noticeable results, especially considering its position among Russian universities - 26th place out of 38. This is a huge achievement for a regional university, the only representative of the Penza region in this elite list.

The success of PSU is a shining example of how dedicated work, investment in research infrastructure and support for talented researchers can lead to international recognition.

THE ranking is based on a complex methodology, including 11 indicators grouped into three key categories: research funding, administrative support and research output.

It is important to emphasize that participation in the THE ranking required the provision of full data on the university's activities, which in itself speaks of PSU's transparency and openness to the international scientific community. PSU's success in this ranking stimulates further development of scientific research at the university and the attraction of new talents, and also increases its attractiveness for students and postgraduates. This is a significant step towards strengthening the position of Russian science in the international arena.
