On 3d of January Winter Football Cup among the students of the Institute of International Cooperation took place at the sports centre “Zvezda”. The Football Cup was organized by the group of foreign students and supported by the Institute of International Cooperation.

Eight teams from such countries as Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Jordan, and Iraq took part in the Football Cup. More than 100 students took part in the Cup.

The teams were divided into two groups. After group matches teams from Turkmenistan, Turkey, Iraq and Istanbul entered the semi-final. The final match took place between the teams from Turkey and Istanbul. The team from Iraq won the match for the third place. The winner of the Football Cup was the team from Turkey. Congratulations! It is symbolic, as January and February are the months of Turkish culture in Penza State University.
